What To Check
Keep the detector path simple before it reaches the counter inputs.
Place the emitter and receiver so the vehicle interrupts or reflects the infrared path consistently at the entry and exit points.
Condition the module output before it reaches the CD40110 clock inputs so the counter sees one clean pulse per vehicle event.
Use the block diagram and module references beside the Proteus detector files when explaining how the simulated parts map to real hardware.
